It’s an honor to see that “Hemp State” has earned acclaim at film festivals across the country.

Last year, the film was selected to be shown at the CannaBus Culture Film Festival in New Jersey, the Ag & Art Film Festival in California, and later won “Best Director” and “Best Documentary” at Eden Studios International Film Festival

The University of Pikeville recently selected “Hemp State” to be screened at their annual film and media arts festival, which runs Thursday, February 25th through Saturday, February 27th. The event will be completely online, made available through UPIKE’s Facebook page and YouTube channel

“Hemp State” is scheduled to premiere at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday, followed by a Q&A with the film director, Elijah McKenzie. At 9 p.m. on Saturday, UPIKE will hold a virtual awards ceremony where finalists and winners will be announced.

A full schedule of events for the UPIKE Film and Media Arts Festival can be found on their website, fmafest.org.
